12 Jan 2007 - Beijing Day 1 Hey guys.. i think due to the taiwan's earthquake, i can't access blogspot so this will be my beijing's blog..
Alright had a 1.20am flight on 12 jan, thursday and arrived at Peking's Airport at 7.05am
this was what i had for breakfast.. weird omelette which i didn't finish i watched The Queen on the plane which was so boring that i fell asleep. had 3 seats to myself this is cecilia with her baggage Cecilia and I after going out of the customs safely Beijing's airport in the morning The NTU beijing office ppl brought us to their office for briefing and some toiletries shopping at about 11am and i saw one shop called.... PS: Daph now u know how to write your name is chinese we went to Carrerfour,beijing.. their organization was so bad.. eg. we were told that brooms and mops were at the 2nd level but the toilet brush was at the 1st level then when we wanted to pay we had to go up again cos no cashier counters at the ground level SIGH My house-mate, aijia, and I after shopping with our carts look at the amount of bed comforters that our group bought!! we almost bought all the quilts that were on sale the ntu ppl then brought us for lunch at a high class restaurant LUNCH.. yup all salty Beijing's china bamboo shoot soup with chicken.. check out the colour and the amount of oil!! it was so thick and salty!! First dumplings in beijing... the yellow thing is not pineapple mind u.. it's stick rice.. so weird right?? restaurant's toilet it has nice cheena-looking wallpaper.. the cubicals were so small that my friends saw my shoes peeking out while i was pee-ing nice lightings right??? i love the lamps on the ceiling.. so china-rish then they brought us back to our apartments.. mine was the first stop so the guys came to help us with our luggage that i had nothing to carry =) but daniel broke one of my luggage's handle cos it was too heavy hahaha then after briefing from our landlords, we went to the police station for registration and started looking for banks for aijia's bank draft we were so cold walking around that we went into starbucks for hot chocolate.. only about S$3.66 so shiok holding the cup but the drink turned cold within mins then we went back to clean our room and living room this is the tv in the living room the only table we have in the whole house our "sofas" our kitchen.. erm we haven't got the mood and strength to clean it so far our beds.. guess which one is mine?? the only place we have to use our laptops anyway to those we do not know what happen to our toilet on the first day... the toilet was stuck after i poo-ed and my fren had to do it over it.. while fixing it the toilet overflowed gross!!!! the landlord's daddy had to come over th next day to fix hahahahha
